Activity: Support Brokers maybe asked to
help their employer oversee budget details both for their Individualized
Plan Budgets and their personal budgets. Sometimes people
acquire funds from several different sources and each source may
have specific spending requirements or limitations. If you are
helping your employer to manage all
his money, you will have to learn about the requirements for each
funding source. Remember, the money he earns has no limitations--
this should be emphasized with the Circle of Supports. For
this activity, download and print the following scenario
and begin to develop a budget. This is purely hypothetical and
any amounts of money given should not be interpreted as endorsed
amounts by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare or the Social
Security Administration. Another
activity option
is to download the example plan provided for Chase Doty in Module
C2. With the plan in hand, and an estimated dollar figure begin
to allocate funds for each plan component.
